Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican American journalist. She hosts SportsNation and is a SportsCenter anchor. Since 2016, Collins has was a part of ESPN. Her mother is the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual since she was nine years old, a valuable skill that helped her secure her first job as a production assistant with Univision in Miami and gave her the chance to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then, her CBS station in St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. In 2009, the news reporter moved to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move to Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition, she was an anchor for anchors of sports and weather forecasters. Then she became anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given larger responsibilities. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS as well as the World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Also, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. She also served as the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. Also, she was anchor of the sports segment in Primer Impacto, a magazine program on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents are born in Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. There is also an older sibling. In 1992 the family left Mexico to the US and eventually settled in Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter and her mother was remarried to an architect from the naval profession known as Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, the younger Collins was able to take a job with her older sister. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she had a very clear vision of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University to find out if the school was suitable for her. The campus was beautiful and provided the education she sought. She graduated from high school and was enrolled in media studies at the University. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor at WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a part. He was the one who boosted her faith and confidence, as well as whose enthusiasm for journalism deeply touched her. As a result, she was determined to exceed his expectations, never letting him down.
